Samsung Wave S8500 get Bada 2.0 update finally

Samsung Wave S8500 get Bada 2.0 update finallyNow some of the Samsung Wave S8500 users have downloaded and installed the newest Bada 2.0 firmware update on to their phones. The original Samsung Wave S8500 was the first smartphone run Samsung’s own cellphone platform, and most of these Bada phones were sold in Europe and other countries out of US. So, if you are not familiar with Bada OS smartphone, that is nothing strange.

We know the first generation of the Bada OS was defined version 1.0 and that was what on the Samsung Wave S8500, the ancestor of all Bada OS Samsung phones. When we heared there were many improved functions and features on the Bada 2.0 OS, we wondered when the Samsung Wave would received the update, and news came quickly that it might be available by the end of last year. But 2011 has passed, still no words about the Bada 2.0 update for the Samsung S8500.

Then suddenly, the firmware update was discovered, it was officially released now, but not to all users, only some European users are lucky enough to enjoy the Bada 2.0 firmware update right now. I think the rest users will also receive the update soon, just be patient,

To download and install the Bada 2.0 firmware update, you have to install the latest Samsung Kies, and if you want to check if the update is waiting for downloading to your Samsung Wave S8500, just plug your phone to the computer and run the Samsung Kies, may be there is a big candy for you.

I am told I have a firmware update in-order to download some free apps. I downloaded and installed Kies but it says my device does not support software upgrading via Kies.

What do I do? I have heard about “flashing” but I just can’t figure it out. Help, please…….

    Thank you

try to delete the old Samsung Kies, and then install the newest Samsung Kies 2.0 to your PC. then plug your phone to PC, run the Kies, it scans your phone, and the firmware update should be able to be installed if it is available. Good luck!
