Another trick to personalize notification ringtone is through contact groups. From idle screen, tap on PHONEBOOK. From the dropdown on top of contact list, select GROUPS. Tap one of a group, then tap MORE -> EDIT. You may specify the GROUP RINGTONE as well as VIBRATION if desired. This trick applies to both preset groups and your custom groups as well.
Note: you can’t set message ringtone with this trick. However, you don’t have to set ringtone for every single contact, as long as you set appropriated group to them. Hope this useful.

The same way can be done to personalize ringtone for incoming message (SMS). Edit one of desired contact, choose ADD MORE FIELDS then put checkmark on MESSAGE TONE. From the contact edit mode, click on this new field. There’s four preset tones available or you can select a sound file through SPECIAL TONE. Hope this useful.
